SETP2040 - Virtual Humans

SETP2040 - Virtual Humans Image

The objective of this project was to develop the Ministry of Defence's (MOD) understanding and capability in virtual humans within a virtual tutor/mentor role, demonstrating the concept and investigating the feasibility, to support the live deployment of the technology in the medium term. The ultimate goal of creating virtual expert, tutor, and mentor systems was to improve the knowledge, skills, capability, effectiveness, and satisfaction of the warfighter and workforce.

K Sharp worked in partnership with Daden, the University of Worcester, and the University of Warwick to deliver this project, which was completed in 2018. The project was carried out in conjunction with BAE Systems as part of the Defence Human Capability Science and Technology Centre.

The project was a significant undertaking, and K Sharp's partnership with the other organizations was instrumental in its success. The team developed a comprehensive approach to address the project objectives, using their collective expertise and practical approach to project management.

Through the development of virtual expert, tutor, and mentor systems, the project enabled the MOD to improve their understanding and capability in this area. The resulting technology has the potential to significantly improve the knowledge, skills, capability, effectiveness, and satisfaction of the warfighter and workforce, contributing to the overall success of military operations.
