K Sharp becomes a Registered Consultancy

K Sharp becomes a Registered Consultancy Image

We are very proud to announce that we have been approved as a registered consultancy with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF).  The CIEHF is the main body in the UK concerned with our discipline and so to be one of less than 50 (currently) organisations in the UK to be awarded this status, we are very happy indeed.

Tina Worthy, CIEHF’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re delighted that we were able to approve K Sharp’s application for Registered Consultancy status. They demonstrated a strong commitment to quality service provision and we hope that recognition as a Registered Consultancy will be of as much benefit to them, as their addition to our growing collective human factors expertise is to us.”

For us at K Sharp, this reflects not only on the actual work we carry out, but on our whole organisation, because we would not be able to conduct our work without the support of everyone pulling together to deliver the work to our clients.

Applying to get this accreditation is surprisingly not a simple decision, because you are opening yourselves up to outside assessment, moderation and criticism, but it was important to us, not only as a way of giving current and future partners and clients assurance that we know what we are talking about, but also for ourselves to have an external perspective on what we do.

We found the actual process of applying relatively easy because we had all of our information to hand, but also the team at the CIEHF were exceedingly helpful in explaining what they wanted to see and what information they needed.  It felt not so much an exam, but more a helpful process.

Having been awarded this status, we get to put the logo below on our company literature and we are listed on the CIEHF website and so can be verified.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us get this milestone, not only the K Sharp team, past and present, but our partners and clients who have given us the opportunity to work on and deliver interesting and fantastic work.

Onward to the next challenge.
